Eleanor is the youngest child of a knightly family, the Fitz Gabriels, who claim descent from a mighty angelic servant of Heironius. The family worships that god devoutly to this day and has produced a number of notable warriors, clerics and other do-gooding types.
As the baby of the family Eleanor has largely been bossed around by her older siblings and somewhat pampered by her parents, so she combines a sense of entlitlement with a rebellious streak and a desire to prove herself. She is basically good-natured though and likes to help others or see their interests advanced as much as her own.
She is quite outgoing and ready with her tongue, and talks like the educated young lady she is, except often not too ladylike. She tends to react badly to being patronised or ordered about and to dislike sticks-in-the-mud, prudes and prigs. Such as her brother Sebastian. She likes people who are go-getting, fun, witty, capable or otherwise impressive. She hasn’t yet encountered many really nasty pieces of work so she could be taken in by a superficially-likeable but evil person.
